MOVE TO CURB MR TRUMAN
BAN ON CAMPAIGNING SOUGHT
(Ret. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, September 26. A draftsman, Mr A. Easter, has sought a Court order to halt President Truman's “whistle-stop” campaign tour, and direct the President to stay at home to attend to offitlal bush Mss. Mr Truman was to leave tomorrow on a 19-day, 24-state campaign for the DetnoCratie Presidential nominee, Mr Adlai Stevenson. The papers in the suit , asserted that Mr Truman “is not devoting his full tltnd to the duties, east upon him and, therefore, is depriving the Citizens of the United States of his abilities, time, anti undivided attention.” A District Judge rejected Easter'S request that Mr Truman appear In court to explain why he should hot be required to devote ail his time to Government duties.
