CERCLE FRANCAIS

Mr H. Honore presided at a meeting of the Cercle Francais in Christchurch on Friday evening. A scenic film, “Floating Down the Chareute,” was shown by Mr H. W. Beaumont The cities of Chateauneuf, Saintes, Rochefort and La Rochelle were shown, as well as the vineyards and distilleries for which the region is famous.

Miss O. Wright, of Wellington, gave an address on the literary career of St. Exupery. She read an extract from “The Little Princess.”
