FAST, OPEN GAME AT TAUMURUNUI
(New Zealand Press Association) TAUMARUNUI, September 28. In a fast, open game at Taumarunui yesterday* the Waikato Rugby representatives beat King Country by 25 pointe to 18. , , A . The forwards were very evenly matched, with Waikato showing a Blight superiority in the scrums and line-outs, but King Country had the advantage in the rucks and loose forward rushes. The Waikato backs, however, were the better attacking combination. J. R. Bullick, G. R. Brunskill, and T. N. KurtoviCh combined'in some fine movements. D. R. Wightman played well as full-back. J/Martiner, the King country captain, led his forwards in some excellent loose rushes. A. Harrison, the King Country wing three-quarter, distinguished himsfelf by kicking four goals. _ Fo»» Waikato, tries Were scored by G. J. Carrington (2), I. N. Kurtovich (2), Brunskill, and J. R. O’Hearn. Brunskill kicked a penalty goal and converted two tries. For King Country, tries were scored by W. Feb, K. West, and C. R. Poole. A. Harrison kicked a penalty goal and converted three tries.
