NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES IN PASTURES Tests have definitely proved that in many parts ol New Zealand nutritional deficiencies occur in pastures at certain seasons ot the year. These deficiencies are not associated with the bulk of feed available, but are due to a lack of balance of essential nutrients in the fodder. This frequently leads to excessive scouring, a greatly lowered resistance to diseases and sometimes to quite heavy flock losses. Setbacks of this nature also result in loss of condition and imperfections in fleeces. Scientific research has disclosed that the best way to counter these seasonal deficiencies is to maintain a balance of nutrients by feeding out a supplement known to contain balanced proportions ot carbohydra.es. proteins, fats, vitamins, mineral elements and carefully selected digestible fibre. “Peerless" Sheep Nut, contain there nutritive elements—that is why they can help to overcome nutritional deficiencies. But for the best results keep a close watch on pasture growth all the time and feed out "Peerless” Sheep Nuts — prevention is better than cure! "Peerless Sheep Nuts are available from merchants or send order, giving local merchant's name, to D. a. Brown and Son. Ltd., P.O. Box 242, Christchurch, C.l. —Advt.
