(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, August 31. Scoring 35 points by tries and goals, mostly from broken play, the Southland Rugby team beat Hawke's Bay in Invercargill. on Saturday. Hawke’s Bay scored 13 points. In all, nine tries were scored, seven by Southland and two by Hawke’s Ray. POVERTY BAY BEATS EAST COAST (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, AUgust 31. In heavy showers and on a greasy ground on Saturday, Poverty Bay beat East Coast by 9 points to 6 in a representative Rugby match.
