N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP AT INVERCARGILL (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, August 19. Billiards champions of two countries and several centres in New Zealand will contest the 1952 Dominion amateur championship at InvercargMl next week. They include A Bull, several times New South Wales champion and runner-up to the Australian champion; L. Stout (Wellington), former title-holder and several times New Zealand snooker champion; S. Moses (Wellington), four times champion; and E. V. Robets (Auckland), four times champion. The 1952 championship will be conducted by the Southland Billiards Association on behalf of the Otago Association. The draw is:— Monday: C. Proctor (Otago) v. S. Baker (Southland); A. Twohill (West Coast) v. J. Proctor (Bluff); W. H. King (Otago) v. L. Stout (Wellington). Tuesday: S. Moses (Wellington) v. T. Elkis (Canterbury); L. Napper (Otago) v. W. Smith (Canterbury); A. Bull (New South Wales) v. D. Higgins (Canterbury). Wednesday: E. V. Roberts (Auckland) v. winner of Twohill-Proctor game. Bull has been given the nomination of the New Zealand Association to compete in the Empire billiards championship at Calcutta in November. ♦
