ISSUE OF IMPORT LICENCES
NO-REMITTANCE SYSTEM SUSPENDED All collectors of customs have been advised by the Comptroller of Customs (Mr D, G. Sawers) that the issue of non-remittance import licences has been suspended until further notice. The secretary of the Associated Chambers of Commence (Mr A. O. Heany), in a circular to chambers of commerce, says it appears that the system of non-remittdnce licences is under review by the Government and the issue of licences has been suspended pending a decision by the GovernI meat
