Charges Of Procuring For Vice Ring ffiee. 7 pjn.) NEW YORK, Aug. 16. New York society was set buzzing to-night when Minot F. (Mickey) tfelke, the 22-year-old heir to a huge oleomargarine fortune, was released on bail of 50,000 dollars on charges of procuring for a vice ring. Jelke is numbered among New York’s top social 400, and was conpoered one of America’s most eligible bachelors.
Detectives arrested him and a number of beautiful models and small part actresses in a series of raids this morning. A part-time television actress has been held on white slavery charges. - his release Jelke said: “I don’t feel there is any chance of these silly •causations being proven.” A New York paper said to-day: “Cafe •ociety took a quick look at the papers and quietly left town. The best bars *ere emptied of their prettiest luncheon customers.”
