The Minister in charge of Civil Aviation (Mr,T. L. Macdonald) will leave on Wednesday for Australia to meet representatives of the United Kingdom and Australian Governments at Canberra for discussions on air transport problems of mutual concern to the three Governments.—(P.A.) Before selling began at the Christchurch wool sale on Saturday, two minutes’ silence was observed by all those present in memory of Mr T. J. Maling, who for many years was president of the Woolbrokers' Association.
