Railway Sleeping Cars.— As from Saturday. June 14, the Railways Department will reinstate the sleeping car service on the 3 p.m. express trains between Wellington and Auckland, and the 6 p.m. Auckland-Wel-lington express. The service was discontinued last December to provide extra holiday seating.—(P.A.) M.P. Killed in Car Accident.—Mr Thomas F. Cook, aged 43, a Labour member of Parliament and former Under-Secretary for Colonial Affairs, was killed in a car accident near Dundee, Scotland, last night.—London, June 1.
