MILK PRODUCTION
Sir,—“Cashel Street” objects to 4.3 butterfat milk for young babies, and is looking forward to a cheaper retail Brice from low test milk. “Cashel treet” should lodge his objections with the New Zealand Kremlin in charge of political control of a centralised policy of the whole dairy industry. That it is called the New Zeadlna Dairy Board does not alter the fact; it is a fanatical dictatorship, supported by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Mr Holyoake. It is purely a commercial monopoly proposition, as is proved by butterfat, a commercial extract from milk. For the city’s milk supply the dairy cow gives milk, not butterfat, a fact the New Zealand Kremlin cannot alter. “Cashel Street” should be prepared to join in holding meetings in the homes of the people and support the people being given the opportunity to remove milk from politics. —Yours, etc., H. BLISS. May 30, 1952.
