Also several selected Stud Rams, Including Waio HB5/48 ( 55751), and Meadowslea, 196/47 ( 54965). The Westward Ho Flock was founded in 1937 by the purchase of ewes from Mr A. Grant, Flock No. 859, Estate of the late E. Short Flock No. 77, Mr H. B. L. Johnstone. Flock No. 1404, and the Estate of the late R. Yardley, Flock No. 837. Since then selected introductions have been made from the Flocks of Messrs A. S. Murray. Flock No. 1293, J. M. Sutherland, Flock No 1563, and Raymond Oakley, Flock No. 881. The Westward Ho Romneys are heavy boned well headed sheep, and are very attractively woolled. SPUTHDOWNS—(FIock No. 1162) 154 One to Five-shear Registered Ewes. 47 Registered Ewe Lambs. 42 Ram Lambs.

Also Stud Rams as follows: Westward Ho 26/47 ( 23704), Westward Ho 100/49 (25780). Tiritea 95/47 (23244). The above Flock was founded in 1933 with selections from the Flock of Mr P. W. Borrie, and has since often been enhanced by inclusions from Messrs C. L. Mathias, Flock No. 1097, R. T. McMillan, Flock No. 689, M. J. Rooney, Flock No. 703. and J. L. Gray, Flock No. 2134. The Westward Ho Southdowns are low set and heavy boned, with good heads and colouring. All the above-mentioned will be carefully classed, and will be sold in small

lots to suit purchaser’s requirements. The Auctioneers have no hesitation in recommending sheep from either of the above Studs for type and conformation Bred as they have been at a high altitude above sea level, they are bound to prove successful wherever they are taken.
