BRIGHT METEOR SEEN AT NELSON
(New Zealand Press Association) NELSON, May 30. A bright meteor which travelled across the sky from east to west about 6.50 p.m. yesterday was seen by residents in various parts of the Nelson district. x . , Mr D. W. Brown, of Nile street, described it as a bright blue light, which disintegrated near the western horizon with a show of different colours in which orange predominated.. A Tasman resident, Mr M. G. Scott, said his first thought was that a highflying aircraft was on fire. He checked the time as 6.50 pun.
