FENDALTON SUBBRANCH The president, Mrs Arthur Stewart, welcomed Mesdames Cecil Wood (patron). J. E. K. Brown, and P. G. Greenwood (central branch), and Alston and Hansen (Fendalton Free Kindergarten) at the annual meeting of the Fendalton sub-branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs T. L. Uren gave an interesting talK on her recent visit to England and Europe. Sister Bates’s report for the year was as follows:—visits to homes of ojy es ' visits of babies to rooms. 2366: visits of pre-school children to rooms, 473: visits of adults-to rooms. 78; number of new baby cases, 211 The resignation from the committee of Mrs A. A. Grimmer was received with regret. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—patron. Mrs Cecil Wood: president, Mrs Arthur Stewart: vice-presidents. Mrs J Restall Thomas and Mrs A. L. Lockharthonorary secretary, Mrs H. C. Collett; honorary treasurer, Mrs A. Barker: committee, Mesdames J. Ainger T. J. Atkinson. J. Boyd-Clark, W. J Brown, W. P. G*ue, S. W. Jameson. A. G. Lester. A. L. Macbeth, A. F. Matthews. G. A. Milne, T. K. Papprill, W. L. Partridge. K. Reynolds, D. Saunders. L B. Stevens, W. F. A. Foster (Harewood sub-committee), and S. W. Fleming (Mothers’ Club). Mrs D. Saunders was appointed liaison officer to the Mothers’ Club.
HAREWOOD SUBCOMMITTEE
At the second annual meeting of the Harewood sub-committee of the Plunket Society, held recently at Harewood, Mrs W. F. A. Foster reported on the activities of a very satisfactory year. The sub-committee had concentrated on a large bazaar held ln September and on a competition, and had helped with a Violet Day collection at Harewood—all most successful financially. After paying the sum of £35 to the Fendalton subbranch for the quota, the sub-com- ! nit „ t ®e. had a credit balance of £l5 Is 2d in hand. The following officers wtre elected: chairman, Mrs W. F. A. Fosterhonorary secretary. Mrs T. E. Roberts; honorary treasurer, Mrs A K Bryant; committee. Mesdames F. E Broom. J. C. Hart, S. M. Millward. R. A. Mitchell. R. G. Oliver. B. S. Richards. N. Roberts, and I. E. Street. Mrs Foster thanked the retiring treasurer. Mrs S. Wood, for her excellent work during the year, and wished her happiness in her new home.
