STOCK EXCHANGES PRICES FIRM IN MORE ACTIVE TRADING In more active trading on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday most prices were firm on recent rates. McKenzie s showed a sharp improvement on the last sale recorded locally in a transaction at 18s. This stock sold at 14s 7d •nd Sd in Wellington on Friday, when the increased dividend was announced. The National Bank of New Zealand also improved slightly in buyers' quotations, the 1 per cent, increese in .dividend having been announced since last week’s trading closed.
