ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS
The balance-sheet presented at the eighty-ninth annual meeting of the Canterbury United District of the Ancient Order of Foresters showed that the order was in a sound financial position. It was reported that membership had increased during the year. A membership prize was presented
to Court Star of Rakaia and the Ritual Shield to Court Thistle of the Forest A shield for competition among the courts was presented by Mr R. Westaway. The following officers were elected: district chief ranger, Mr C M. Sheat; district sub-chief ranger, Mr O. E. A. Fairbrass: district beadle, Mr J. R. Hide; district woodward, Mr D. McArthur; treasurer, Mr G. J. Osborne; ritual supervisor. Mr G. Sey; secretary. Mr A. V. Baker.
