THE KHAMSIN SEASON IN EGYPT.—This photograph of British troops on patrol in the Suez Canal zone will bring back memories to many New Zealand soldiers who experienced the dreaded khamsin, the hot wind of the desert which drives sand and dust before it. The men in the picture have handkerchiefs round their mouths to help them breathe.
