Dr. David Keyes, who heads Canada’s Atomic energy project at Chalk River (Ontario) said to-aay, ,He added that Canada had the facilities for the production of an •torn bomb. “We have in Canada the K powerful source of neutrons n» and we are producing isotopes, deluding plutonium, a nuclear fuel of "meh bombs may be made.” Kayes said Canada had never to make an atom bomb- We not interested in atomic energy “a war weapon at the moment. Our is directed towards the peace time PPhcation of atomic energy.” Keyes predicted that within 10 f**rs some of Canadajs electric power OQ,d be generated from atomic *wgy.
