TOWN CLERKS ELECT OFFICERS
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, March 3. The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Town Clerks’ Institute, which was opened to-day by the Mayor of Rotorua (Mr A. F. Mdncur): President, Mr C. M. Turner (Lower Hutt); vice-president, Mr T. R. Congalton (Mount Albert); executive committee, Messrs I. A. Webb (One Tree Hill), G. C. Grace (Stratford), W. K. Wilby (Petone), L. F. Foote (Bluff), N. E. Clemens .(Greymouth), and H. S. Feast (Christchurch); secretary, Mr J. P. McDavitt (Eastbourne). Mr Turner, who succeeds Mr C. H. Tate, of Feilding, was two years ago granted a British Council bursary to study local government in Britain. Messrs E. P. Norman, of Wellington, C. R. White, of Wanganui, and J. F. Fraser, of Rangiora, were elected life members of the institute. ,
