MR N. R. JAMESON DENIES “FANTASTIC STORIES”

(Hew Zealand Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, February 21. The chairman of the New Zealand Wool Board (Mr N. R. Jameson) denied at a meeting of southern Hawke’s Bay woolgrowers last night that there had ever been any suggestion of contract buying of New Zealand wool by the United States. He said there had been discussions in Washington from which “fantastic stories” had circulated. One of these was that the United States was anxious to draw up a longterm contract for New Zealand wool at a fixed price. This, he said, was ridiculous.
