Welsh Society Meeting.— The president of the Christchurch Welsh Society (Mr R. Wynne-Owen) spoke of the links the Royal Family has with Wales, at the monthly meeting of the society. Only last December, King George VI, patron of the Cymmrodorion Society, had granted the society the use of the state apartments at St. James’ Palace for its bi-centen-ary celebrations, said Mr WynneOwen. Members stood in silence for two minutes in sympathy with members of the Royal Family.
