WINTER GAMES AT OSLO

AUSTRIA IN LEAD OSLO, February 17. Austria to-day took the lead from America in unofficial point scoring in the Winter Olympics. The points so far are: Austria 41, America 34, Norway 32. Trudi Jochumbgeeiser, aged 24, won the downhill race for women. She descended the exacting one-mile-course with a drop of 1000 feet in Imin 47.1 sec. Hjalmar Anderson, of Norway, won the gold medal for the 5000 metres speed skating event, establishing a new Olympic record of Bmin 10.6 sec. Simon S’aattvik, of Norway.*won the combined class ski jump with a leap of 223.5 metres.
