BAMFORD STREET SCHOOL
COMMITTEE ELECTED “The support of the people of the district is vital to keen the school going. They must be on the job all the time.” said the chairman of tha new Bamford street school committed (Mr J. F. Lawrence) at the inaugural meeting of the committee, which w« elected last evening. The committee of the Woolston school offered the new committee £lB for the purchase of goods that wera subsidised by the Government. The monev had been collected by many of the nunils who now attended the Bamford street school. A resident of the district posted £1 to the new commit* tee to help establish their funds. ’ The committee was elected as follows: Messrs J. F. Lawrence (chairman), T. Turner (secretary), N. Louttit. F. K Smith. Mesdames K. J. Hill, J. CoWitt and K. Forbes.
