The first and second heats of the Christchurch Model Yacht Club’s challenge trophy race, sailed in a light north-west wind on Saturday, resulted as follows: First Heat.—Minka (R. Muxlow), 39min 40sec, 1; Grey Nurse (F. W. Grey), 40min, 2; Empire (J. Spencer), 41min lOsec, 3: Thelma (E. Jackson), 41min 30sec, 4; Phantom (R. Hutton), 43min, 5. Second Heat.—Grey Nurse 39min lOsec, 1; Phantom, 40min, 2; Empire, 3; Whitewings (B. George), 4; Thelma, 5. Points gained were:—Grey Nurse 13, Minka 8, Phantom 6, Empire 6, Thelma 3, Whitewings 2.
