WASHINGTON, January 11. The chairman of the CohgrfesfeiOhal Atomic Erifergy Committee (Senator Brian McMahon) said tO-day. that tne Committee hfed asked the Defence Department ahd the United States Atomic Energy Commission to submit their plans for the expansion of the ittomic energy programme With fell spefed. To-day the committee reviewed progress and received ah informal report on the results of the talks between President Truman and Mr Churchill on atomic matters. NO Objection was raised by the committee to the decisions reached at thfe CtiUrchill-TrUntah talks, including thfe agreement that thfe United States would consult Britain before making atomic raids from bases in England.
