(Rec.. 10 b.rti.) PARtS, Jtifi. 11 The United Ndtibhs General Assembly to-day approved -the Wtesterhbacked collective security system designed tb toeet ahy future aggressioh ih the World. The resolution. Submitted by Britaih, France,_the United States, and eight Other . PoWers, was approved by 51 votes to 5 with three abstentions. The resolution called on United Nations members to eartaatk units specially trained and equipped for use by the world organisation. It also called for a panel of military experts to be Set tip to help with the training, organisation, and equipment of the “shadow army.” The Assembly approved a Soviet proposal, Which wds altered by Arab and Western amendments in the Political Committee, for a Security Council meetihg to consider reducing world tensions whenever it .was deemed the time was ripe for such a meeting. The voting was 57-0 with two abstentions.
