In a speech Dr. Yang said the 7,000.000 Koreans who remained in North Korea were facing deliberate and planned mass starvation. The Communists in North Korea were living off the land, as far as they could, determined to revenge themselves upon the Korean population, which had showed unmistakeably when the United Nations Armies w’ere in their midst how much they hated Communism.

Moreover, the Communists had not forgotten that the Japanese were unable to conquer and assimilate the Korean people during an entire generation of systematic endeavour, Dr. Yang said
