A Rumanian was charged in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington this week with using obscene language. The constable who arrested him was nosjtive that he heard used two English words that were obscene. Through an interpreter the defendant explained that the words soundbd like the English version but had an entirely different meaning in Rumanian. Mr J. Hessell, S.M.. convicted and discharged the defendant
