FISHING VESSEL LOST
STRUCK LOG NEAR DUSKY SOUND
(New Zealand Pre** Association) INVERCARGILL October 33. The Aurora, one of the biggest fishing vessels operating from Bluff, sank within six minutes of striking a submerged lox this morning. The master (Mr James Ryan) and th* crew are reported to be safe. The mishap occurred as the vessel was returning from a fishing trip to the West Coast. The Aurora is believed to have sunk between Dusky Sound and Puysegur Point Information about the sinking of the vessel, which was owned by the Pegasus Freezing Company. Ltd., was received in Invercargill this morning from the Puysegur Point lighthouse. Members of the crew are being accommodated at the lighthouse until thev can be picked un by the Walrus, which is visiting Milford Sound. Th? Walrua is expected to return to Bluff towards the end of the week.
