ANNUAL MEETING HELD “You’ve gone along as usual in your quiet, substantia] way. and everything seems very satisfactory,” said Sir Ernest Andrews, moving as chairman of the meeting the adoption of the balance sheet at the annual general meeting of the Beckenham Public Library. The report and balance sheet showed that 266 books and 72 magazines had been bought during the last 12 months, at a cost of £152 2s 6d During the year, 11.480 books and 955 magazines were issued to members. There were 8150 books and 250 magazines in stock, and members of the committee had repaired 423 books. Membership had increased by seven to 195.
