COMPLAINTS TO BOARD
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST VENDOR
A special meeting of the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board was held yesterday to investigate complaints made by milk vendors that another vendor, Mr J. B. Henderson, was serving milk outside zones he was entitled to enter.
After the chairman (Mr W. P. Warner) had outlined the reasons for the meeting it was decided, on the motion of Mr J. Mathison, M.P., to go into committee. Mr Warner said the purpose of the meeting was to investigate complaints made by milk vendors in the Riccarton area that another vendor, Mr Henderson, was serving milk outside those zones he was entitled to enter. ' This is a matter of long standing," Mr Warner said. “Some months ago Mr Henderson was told by the board to stay in his own zone.” Recently the matter had again been referred to the board—this time by Mr Henderson himself, who was appearing before the board at his own request, said Mr Warner. Mr Warner then asked if the board Wl , sba d g 0 nto committee. This seems to m e in the nature of a .J? 11 / ,i uarrel -" Said Mr Mathison.
