He had replied that Britain had not only European interests, but also interests in the Commonwealth and Empire and that she could not possibly abandon the Commonwealth and Empite for anythMr'Eden concluded the interview by saying that on British-American relations depended the peace of the world. "If we stand together, there is no problem we cannot solve If we fall apart, what can be achieved for peace?-We want to see our children and our chil dren’s children live a life free from the threat of war, which has shrouded out time. It can be done if we stand together and so we must.
