DEPUTATION TO MEET MR HOLLAND (From Our Own Reporter)

TIMARU, September 11

A deputation from the South Canietbury Airport Committee will meet the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) and the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation (Mr T. L. Macdonald) to press for the development of the proposed Levels airport up to full internal air service standards, and to advise them that the people of South Canterbury ■fe willing to share the cost of the project.

Ibis was decided at a meeting of the committee in Timaru to-night. The committee passed a motion •freeing that an airport wag essential, ahd that the Levels field should be devtloped as a permanent airport for Muth Canterbury.
