HELP FOR LEPERS

Sir, —May I remind your readers that the Christmas appeal for Makogai and the other objects of the Lepers’ Trust Board is now in full swing. The lepers will be looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of the “gift ship” from New Zealand. With rising costs of drugs, building construction, transport and comforts, the needs of the lepers are greater than ever before. I would particularly, through your columns, like to thank the many anonymous donors who have already sent in parcels and donations and also those who contribute regularly through staff apd society collections. New Zealanders have built up a wonderful reputation for their generosity towards the lepers of the South Pacific. May I thank you for your continued help?—Yours, etc., P. J. Twomey. LEPER MAN. September 11, 1951.
