Miss E. E. Kedd, who has been Spending a week with her sister Mrs D C. Bennie, Watford street, left on Saturday for Auckland to join the Port Brisbane for London. Mr J. G. Parry presided over a good attendance at a social of the Cambrian Society of Canterbury on Saturday evening, when a very enfoyable programme, arranged bv Mr Ernest Rogers, was presented. Songs and duets were sung by Mrs Linda Haase and Mr Ernest Rogers, violin solos were played by Mr Maitland McCutchen and piano solos by Mrs Merle Carter, who was also eccomnanist for the other artists. Sunper was later served by the women of the committee.
