FEW INFORMAL VOTES AT AUCKLAND
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 10. Auckland returning officers report that informal votes were remarkably few, and the number of the ballot papers marked, with a cross “quite trivial.’’ One returning officer said that in his district, where misleading instructions had been inadvertently displayed on some of the pollin« boxes, he had discovered not more than six papers marked with a cross. This number could have been expected even if the notices had not been there.
