FIRMS’ RECREATIONAL ASSOCIATION

The Christchurch Firms’ Recreational Association held its annual six-a-side Association football tournament in Haglev Park recently with an entry of 21 teams. Because there was insufficient time to come to a decision the final resulted in a draw between Mercers and Fletcher Holdings. At the annual meeting of the association the following officers were elected: patron. Sir Ernest Andrews; president. Mr G. Graham; vice-presi-dent, Mr K. A. Muff: honorary secretary, Mr R. R. Johns: honorary treasurer. Mr E. Noonan: honorary auditor. Mr H. R. Fountain: committee, Messrs M. Goss. C. C. Gordon, E. Young, E. Newberry, and Mrs Gordon.
