It bled freely throughout the fight. CUrta has a reputation for being a hard hitter, but he gave no evidence of this to-nigkt Keith was so fast that he made Clarke look lethargic.

AMATEUR TOURNAMENT AT KAIKOURA

Boxers from Nelson, Blenheim, and Kaikoura took part in an amateur tournament which was staged by the Kaikoura Snorts Club in the Drill Han on Saturday evening. The programme comprised U bouts, including two exhibitions. The referees were Messrs J. Burns, A McArtney. and C. Blumsky. of tfelsen. and the judges Messrs A. Moyes and E. Llanfear, of Kaikoura.
