ANGLICAN BIBLE CLASS UNION
FIRST BALL HELD
Twenty-one debutantes were presented at the first ball of the Christchurch Anglican Bible Class Union in the Winter Garden last evening. The debutantes, who were presented to the Primate of New Zealand (Archbishop West-Watson) by Mrs C. Tanner, were Fay Adams. Maree Amos, Jill Brittenden. Beverley Cordner, Patricia Evans. Gwen Freear. Margaret Hay, Brenda Holmes, Beverley Mungall Margaret Pauling, Josephine Saggers. Elizabeth Shaw. Valerie Whiteside. Lesley Woodward, Jean Bernard. Betty Pickles, Valerie midge, Shona Fairbairn, Margaret Treleaven, Margaret Franks, and Maureen Humin. The specially invited guests included Archbishop West-Watson. Miss West-Watson, Archdeacon C. L. Mountfort and Mrs Mountfort, Archdeacon E. A. Osmers and Mrs Osmers, Archdeacon W. T. Williams, Canon H. M. Cocks and Mrs Cocks, and the Rev. Carl Tanner and Mrs Tanner. Members of the committee who arranged the ball were Miss Alison Hughes, Miss Noeline Cairns, Mr Tanner, the Rev. P. Witty, and Messrs J. Cottrell (secretary) and I. Cooper.
