The weather office at Kelburn states that strong southerly conditions prevail in the area in which the ship is likely to be. The troopship Wahine, on her way from Wellington to Cairns, Australia, with K Force reinforcements, is likely to escape most of the storms at sea. as she is travelling away to the west.
