POULTRY SHOW, 1951
Sir, —I am glad your correspondent liked our show, but I cannot agree with him that the prize-winning utility birds were big and open-feathered. Your correspondent is quite correct in assuming that utility birds should be tight-feathered. It is strange that ‘Damifino” did not know that judges are available during the show period to answer any question about the birds they judged. I would like to extend a cordial invitation to anyone interested in poultry to attend any of our meetings, which are held in the Selwyn street hall every second and fourth Monday in the month.—Yours etc. B. J. MITCHELL, President. Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club. June 6, 1951.
