(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, June 1 The National Rifle Association :tate that in the British Empire competitions for 1950, New Zealand took second plan in the King George V Trophy to Smith Africa. The average number of points made to the South Africans was 83, and by Hu New Zealanders, 74.25. The New Zealanders won six lUie medals of honour and four bronze far individual merit. Marton District High School cadets wen third in the senior shield competition and Avondale College cadets A company woe second in the Lord Milner Trophy. Muton District High School cadets won the Earl Jellicoe Trophy and were ninth In order of merit in the list of the best IN units in the Empire.
