ART SOCIETIES’ SCHOLARSHIP
AWARD TO AUCKLAND ARCHITECT
The annual scholarship of the Association of New Zealand Art Societies has been awarded this year to Mr M. S. Annabell, of Auckland. The scholarship is to the value of £1000 and the award was made from the recommendation of the five judges appointed by the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
Mr Annabell, who is 30, will be away from New Zealand for two years. He will be required to spend a third of his time overseas studying in such countries as Sweden and Switzerland. The scholarship next year will be awarded to a painter or a sculptor.
