SAN FRANCISCOS WELCOME

SAN FRANCISCO, April 15. Plans to stage a welcome parade for General MacArthur on his arrival at San Francisco on Tuesday have been cancelled. The Mayor, Mr Elmer Robinson, said that plans for a .formal reception at. the airport, for a parade into San Francisco, and for greetings at the City Hall were ruled out because General MacArthur’s aeroplane would not arrive until after dark.

General MacArthur has agreed to a formal ceremonv on Wednesday. He is flying from Tokyo via Honolulu.
