BOYS’ TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD DECISION BY WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 16. Junior golf Is likely to receive a stimulus this year as a result of a decision made to-night by the Wellington District Golf Association. Its committee approved a programme for a boys’ tournament on August 29 and 30. There will be two amateur championships, one for boys under 21, who must be members of affiliated c’Ubs. and the other for those under 18, in addition ;to several handicap events. Each championship will comprise 36 holes of medal play, and entries to close on August 25, are open to the Dominion The Miramar Golt Club is to be asked to stage the tourney. RANGIORA LADIES’ CLUB In a nine-hole eclectic match, played recently by the Ranglora Ladies Golf Chib, the following six competitors tied;— Mesdames F. Cobden-Cox, A. C. Fraser, F. Tolmie, R. F. Watson, L. Leech, and Miss D. Horrell.
