PAY OF FORMER GENERAL
WASHINGTON. April 11. General MacArthur will continue to draw full pay and allowances and be subject to the order of his military superiors until he dies.
Officers of Five Star rank never retire. Their salary ;.m< unts to 18,781 dollars a year. Unless Mr Truman gives him another assignment, General MacArthur will now be free to take any civilian employment he desires, to run for public office or simply to take life easy!
