The Foreign Office to-day denied reHets that a British Note had been Presented to the American Government urging Chinese participation in ®e Japanese peace treaty and that the handing of Formosa to the CommunA Foreign Office spokesman added that the British and United States Governments were agreed that all States which olayed a major part in the defeat of Japan should participate in the drafting of the Japanese peace treaty. As a consequence, the British Government had recorded its view that the Chinese Government should be P* v *n an opportunity to take part in me current negotiations.
