HURUNUI-WAITAKI RAILWAY

LAND FOR DEVIATION AT STEWART’S GULLY (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, April 12. A small area of land in the Waimairi and Eyre countries has been taken bv the Government for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki railway (Stewart’s Gullv deviation), according to a proclamation gazetted to-night. The land is described as lying between Chaneys and Kaiapoi.
