EIGHT TEAMS IN SENIOR COMPETITION

•The Canterbury Rugby League bogrd of control decided last evening that there should be eight teams in its senior competition this season. Mr J. E. Amos was appointed sole selector for 1951.

The West Coast League advised that it would support the Canterbury claim to the New Zealand Council that Canterbury should be given a game against the visiting French players. (The French team will play tn Christchurch on July 28.) Representative monograms were granted to R. Falgar and G. Eaton.
