RAILWAYMEN’S WAGE CLAIM

RESOLUTION BY HUTT WORKERS t

GOVERNMENT “APATHY” CRITICISED

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 7.

Members of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the Railway Tradesmen’s Association at the Hutt Workshops passed the following resolution at a meeting to-day: “That this mass meeting of Hutt Workshops railwaymen views with grave concern the apathy of the Railways Department and the Government in reaching a settlement on our current wage claim as promised by them. Failing a decision being reached by Friday, March 9, we demand that our national executives organise immediate direct action on a national scale.”
